The World's First Bio-Engineered Footballs

2012 - Abandon Normal Devices, Manchester, (UK)

World premiere exhibition of bio-engineered footballs was held at Cube Gallery Manchester from the 29th of August through to the 7th of September 2012.

Four, proof-of-concept, bio-engineered footballs were presented in bespoke, suspended casings, with accompanying plinths containing time-lapse imagery of pig bladder cell growth. A DIY incubation chamber housed tools and detritus from tissue engineering processes and a high definition video gave an insight the production of the footballs by the artist.
